OUR HSE TEAM
Khanico’s integration with the energy sector has driven the implementation of our Health Safety and Environment Management System. Our system has been in effect and driven with the goal of zero accidents and zero incidents. Our staff has been trained in First Aid, Emergency Response, Fire Fighting and as Building Wardens. Our HSE committee has proudly worked together as a single unit to develop and implement the management system while ensuring all staff understand and enjoy the brewing of our HSE culture. The culture has developed into a brand that we proudly carry as “Journey to Zero”.
Khanico is proud to have worked 422,000 man hours with zero loss time incidents or accidents as of January 2020.
JOURNEY TO ZERO
Our culture and aim of zero accidents and incidents grew into our HSE brand of Journey to Zero (JTZ). JTZ has been openly adopted by all members of our organization and has been evolving promoting constructive conversations and situation awareness across the organization. Frequent drills and training prepares our teams (service, sales, warehousing and delivery) to be proactive and trained for response in emergencies should they arise either on our compound or at their homes.
The JTZ Culture etched in the training of our staff has manifested throughout the homes of our staff. Khanico is proud of this behavioral change and continues to build on both knowledge and training imparted to continue positive growth and development within the lives of our staff.
Our HSE Team has also initiated a JTZ Recycling Program which reported 120 LBS of plastic being recycled for the year 2019. This success has now driven a new benchmark within our culture to reduce our plastic disposal and encourage the reuse of suitable bottles and containers.
Khanico is proud to own and promote the Journey To Zero Culture with other families and organizations with the aim of educating and developing positive changes necessary to preserve the environment and health of our friends and family.
STOW Certification
Having implemented our management system, Khanico has been successful in the Safe To Work certification program for contractors. Khanico has been recommended for High Risk 2 Year Certification for On-Shore activities (Sales and Marketing, Installations and Mechanical Maintenance Services).
