The handle of these hammers constructed with spring steel bars for added strength that are locked into the head with a steel locking plate, ensuring that the head remains securely attached and will never become loose or dislodged.  The rugged steel head is forged from special steel, induction hardened, and then tempered to reduce hardness to 30-35 HRC.
